Suez Canal Dues Calculation
All Vessels transiting the Suez Canal and having a tonnage over 300 Suez Canal GRT must pay Transit Dues .
The Formula for the Dues Calculation : SCNT X SDR rates X SDR/USD equivalence.
SCNT: This is the Vessel's Suez Canal Net Tonnage , confirmed by the Suez Canal
Surveyor , on the basis of the following:

Suez Canal Special Tonnage Certificate , issued by a recognized classification, approved by SCA .

General arrangement , capacity and engine room plans

Master's declaration for the carriage of bunkers in double bottom tanks.

Master's declaration for the carriage of deck cargo (if any ) according to cargo manifest.

Inspection of the Canal Surveyor.

SDR Rates: the applicable rates of SC tariffs are according to ship's size, type, condition and cargo.
SDR = : The Special Drawing Right (SDR) equivalence is the average value of hard currencies constituting a basket in the International Monetary Fund.
